Jelena Durkovic entered the Belgrade Academy of Music at the age of 15, where she was awarded First Prize in piano, followed by a Prize for Advanced Studies. She then performed in concert throughout Europe, both as a soloist and in chamber music ensembles, and recorded a CD in piano duo with her sister Milena. In France, she attained the rank of Professor of Artistic Education, currently Hors Classe, and has been teaching for several years at the Jacqueline-Robin Conservatoire in Taverny, where she is also head of teaching. As a choir director, she conducts the Taverny Conservatory Choir, with which she has recorded an album and participated in numerous concerts and several festivals in France, notably the Auvers-sur-Oise Festival, as well as abroad in Germany, Italy, Spain, Serbia, the Czech Republic and recently in the Netherlands. In May 2022, the choir she conducts took part in the 70th Festival and Competition for Young Musicians in Neerpelt (Belgium), where it won first prize with distinction, coming first in its category.
