Jany Campello
Member of the jury, 2025

A graduate of the Ecole Nationale d'Architecture in Nantes, Jany Campello also studied music. She holds a state diploma as a piano teacher, awarded on completion of her training at the Pôle d'Enseignement Supérieur de Musique et de Danse de Bordeaux-Aquitaine, and has been devoting her life to music for some years now, after working as an architect. Her musical practice since the age of 9 (piano, chamber music and piano-chant), her teaching activities, her strong involvement with the Sinfonia en Périgord festival until 2014, and before that her commitment to musicians such as the ensemble A Sei Voci conducted by Bernard Fabre-Garrus, for whom she was artistic agent, are all milestones that have nurtured her sensitivity and her perception of the musical world. Since 2016, as a journalist with PMI, she has continued to teach piano at conservatoires. She publishes reviews of concerts and festivals, interviews with musicians and personalities connected with culture, and educational features for the magazines Pianiste and Classica. She was Jérémie Rousseau's guest on France Musique's Tribune des Critiques de Disques. She is regularly asked by the record labels Aparté Records and Evidence Classics to write CD introductory texts.
